Bulldogs cruise past Converse 79-63 to move to 2-0 on the year

Spartanburg, S.C.-----The Wingate University Bulldogs shot 46 percent from the field Saturday afternoon, knocking down 10 triples while cruising to a 79-63 over Converse University to go 2-0 in the Tip Off Challenge in Spartanburg, S.C. Wingate improves to 2-0 overall, while Converse falls to 1-1.

FIRST HALF
 
- A Nixon pull-up three gave Wingate a 12-3 lead

- A Wingate 7-2 run re-extended the lead
- Pringle's jumper brought the lead to 34-22 with 3:17 remaining

SECOND HALF
 
- Wingate sprinted out to a 6-0 run to start the second half
- A Taylor dunk capped the run and put the lead to 47-33

- Converse outscored WU 25-18 from that point
