Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Lincoln Memorial University by 10 and 11 in the first and third quarters, respectively, Saturday afternoon, picking up their second consecutive victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. The 'Dogs improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the SAC, while the Railsplitters fall to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.

- Wingate shot 51 percent from the field; Lincoln Memorial shot 35 percent
- The Bulldogs hit seven-of-19 threes (37 percent); the Railsplitters went three-for-17

- Brandon's layup gave Wingate the opening lead
- An LMU 3-pointer gave the Railsplitters a 4-2 advantage
- Troutman and Wilson layups regained a Bulldog lead they would not relinquish
- A Brandon 3-pointer capped a 16-0 Wingate run spanning four minutes
- The 'Dogs connected on 62 percent of their shot attempts in the first 10 minutes
 
SECOND QUARTER
 
- A Brandon jumper put the 'Dogs on top 26-8
- That capped an 8-0 run
- A Lindsay Proffitt triple capped a 9-0 LMU run
- The Railsplitters cut the deficit to nine with 4:30 remaining in the half
- A Wilson three would return the lead to double digits
- The 'Dogs took a 35-26 lead to the halftime locker room
 
THIRD QUARTER
 
- The teams traded baskets in the opening minutes of the second half
- Wingate then bolted to a 15-0 run over six minutes
- Sullivan and Wilson combined for 13 points in that run
- The 'Dogs reached their largest lead of the game 52-28
- WU shot 60+% from the field and three-point range in the quarter
 
FOURTH QUARTER
 
- With the game in hand, LMU out-scored Wingate 14-10 in the fourth quarter
- Brandon and Wilson each contributed five points in the final frame
