Wingate, N.C.----The 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs got 16 combined goals from
Willie Grieco,
Adam Vodovnik and
Bobby Padden Saturday afternoon, racing out to a 15-4 halftime lead en route to a 21-9 victory in NCAA Division II men's lacrosse action at Graham Gill Field.

FIRST PERIOD
- Grieco's goal two minutes in tied the game at one
- Goals from Padden, Vodovnik, Fleming and Greico put the 'Dogs on top 7-1
- Fleming and Padden struck again within one minute of each other
- Wingate held Montevallo scoreless for nearly 15 minutes of action in the huge 7-1 run
SECOND PERIOD
- Goals from Vodovnik and Padden extended the lead to 9-2 within the first four minutes of the second
- Montevallo scored three unanswered goals to cut the lead to six
- Padden, Grieco and Vodovnik each found the back of the net to make it 15-4 at halftime
THIRD PERIOD
- Grieco's goal eight minutes in put the 'Dogs on top by 10
- Jackson Neufeld pulled the Falcons back within nine heading to the final period
FOURTH QUARTER
- Ehinger, Padden, and Strenstom scored in the first five minutes to push the lead back to 12
- Lingasin scored a man-up goal with 6:27 remaining to make it 20-8
- Dooley capped the scoring for the 'Dogs on the day at the 4:53 mark, making it 21-9
