Jacob Willis and sophomore
Meg Rapley broke their own school records in the men's 3000 meters and the women's mile, respectively, in the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track Saturday. Willis' 3000 meters time of 8:16.17 is also an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Rapley posted a time of 5:05.08 in the women's mile.
The Wingate indoor track and field student-athletes who have provisional qualifying marks will hear about their postseason fate on Tuesday, March 2 when the NCAA announces the national meet participants. The 2021 NCAA Division II indoor national championship meet is March 11-13 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
