What They Are Saying
Wingate thrower
Mateo de Castro Navarro
"The opportunity to compete among some of the biggest schools in the nation and go toe-to-toe with them was very exciting for me. You can really feel that atmosphere pushing you to give your best in every throw."
Wingate sprinter
Deon Sumpter
"Raleigh Relays was a good meet for a lot of people. Personally, I was hurt and did not get to finish my race, but I'm getting better and I'll be good for the next one. My goal is to run a 46 in the 400 and 20/low 21 in the 200. I would like to shout out
Avery (Saunders)…he ran a PR this weekend and has been killing it all season. I'm very proud of him!"
Wingate jumps specialist
Dequan Thompson
"I would say Raleigh Relays was overall a great meet, even though a lot of us didn't compete as well as we wanted…it was still a great chance to go out there against some great competition and still be able to stand our ground. Most importantly, it was a time for us to figure out what needs work and get back in the Lab!"
