Newberry, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs erased a 16-point halftime deficit and took a fourth-quarter lead Saturday afternoon, but Newberry College held on for a 70-69 victory in the opening round of the 2021 South Atlantic Conference women's basketball tournament. Newberry improves to 10-9 overall, while the Bulldogs end their season at 10-10.
