Charlotte, N.C.----The sixth-ranked Queens University Royals outscored visiting Wingate University 11-5 in the second half Wednesday night, prevailing 17-10 in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action. The Royals improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in league play.

FIRST HALF
- Queens jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but goals from Ruiz and Wells made it 4-3 with 14:09 left
- Shannon Donovan put QU back on top by two, but a Knowles goal made it 5-4 at the 8:28 mark
- Wells scored off a Cifolilli assist with 4:32 left to tie it at five
- A Sydney Bracken goal gave Queens a 6-5 halftime advantage
SECOND HALF
- QU scored four of the first five goals, taking a 10-6 lead on a Donovan goal nine minute in
- Plotts and Wells found the back of the net to pull the 'Dogs back within three with 14:26 left
- A Rachel Perrett goal with 10 minutes remaining put Queens on top 13-8
- Cifolilli answered with a goal to cut the lead back to four at the 8:27 mark
- The Royals scored the next four, taking a 17-9 lead on two Kyleigh Masteran goals with a minute left
- Knowles scored the final goal of the day with 26 seconds left
