Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs wrapped up an impressive week by sweeping a doubleheader against visiting Carson-Newman University Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate won the opener 3-2, then rolled to a 10-3 victory in game two to cap a 5-0 week that got started with a victory over #8 Mount Olive Wednesday. The 'Dogs improve to 18-7 overall and 14-6 in the SAC, while the Eagles fall to 15-9 overall and 10-6 in league play.
