Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored six of the final seven runs of the night on Tuesday, prevailing 9-6 over visiting Belmont Abbey College in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate wins its sixth straight, improving to 19-7 overall, while the Crusaders fall to 17-10 on the year.

- A solo homer from Mason Dodd put the Crusaders back on top by two
SIXTH INNING
- The Bulldogs scored three times in the sixth to take the lead
- A Dula single and back-to-back walks loaded the bases
- Carraway drew a bases-loaded walk to pull Wingate within one
- Simpson followed with a two-run single to give the 'Dogs a 6-5 advantage
SEVENTH INNING
- Gobbel's RBI single in the top of the seventh tied it at seven
- Wingate answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame
- A hit batsman, McNeely single and walk loaded the bases with two outs
- Christopher drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Bulldogs back on top
- Wingate then scored a pair of runs on a wild pitch to take a 9-6 lead
WRAPUP
- McCollum got the win, moving to 1-1
- He struck out four in 2 2/3 shutout innings, allowing just two hits
- Austin Hunter took the loss, allowing three runs on a hit in 1 1/3 innings
