Box Score Wingate, N.C.----In a rematch of the 2019 NCAA Tournament opening-round contest, the Wingate University Bulldogs and Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears each scored a goal in the opening 15 minutes, but neither team could find the back of the net the rest of the way, playing to a 1-1 draw in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action at Pride Park. Wingate moves to 0-1-2 overall, while the Bears move to 1-0-1 overall and 0-0-1 in league play.

FIRST HALF

- Wingate got on the board in the 12^th minute
- Cox drew a foul in the box, leading to a penalty kick
- Hendrix buried it in the left corner to give the 'Dogs the 1-0 advantage
- The Bears had the answer just over two minutes later
- Ria Acton scored on a free kick from just outside the box to make it 1-1

SECOND HALF

- Both teams took six shots in the final 45 minutes
- Both teams had two shots on goal in the second half as well

OVERTIME PERIODS

- Neither team registered a shot in the first overtime
- Wingate took three shots on goal in the final 10 minutes
- Alicia Rubio Garcia had a great chance midway through
- Her shot from the top of the box was headed into the top of the goal, but was deflected above the crossbar by LR keeper Grayson Cameron
