Carson-Newman rides quick start to 3-1 victory at Wingate

Wingate, N.C.-----The Carson-Newman University Eagles scored three unanswered goals to start Saturday night's South Atlantic Conference men's soccer contest and coasted to 3-1 victory over the host Wingate University Bulldogs. The Eagles move to 3-1-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, while the Bulldogs fall to 2-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the league.

- Ben King scored the opening goal for the Eagles
