Quotables
Wingate head coachÂ
Pol Domenech:
Â
"I cannot be prouder of these men's team. It is hard to win, but it is harder to do it twice. To win this title for the second year in a row, and to do it at home, means everything to us. We're going to enjoy this win today, but we are going back to work tomorrow. The day we have been preparing for since August is in two weeks in Seattle. I'd like to make a special mention to all the Wingate staff, volunteers and fans who came to the course today. It was a magnificent event and the support from the crowd was undeniable."
Â
Wingate graduate student-athleteÂ
Oliver Way:
Â
"We had top performances from both teams today. Our objective was to get the team wins without working too much…to save the legs for Seattle. It was great to see so many people come out to support us. Things are coming together and we are really excited to improve on our result at nationals last year. We all felt really strong and ran well as a team. It was great to run on the home course with all the people who came out to cheer for us."
