Brunswick, Ga.----The Wingate University Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak Sunday afternoon, prevailing 70-61 at Coastal Georgia in men's basketball action. The Bulldogs improve to 3-3 on the season.

- Wingate scored the next nine, taking a 12-10 lead on buckets from Clark and Roberts
- Duncan's bucket with 7:31 to go tied it at 14
- Triples from Massey and Elmore put the 'Dogs on top 21-14
- A Mason McMurray bucket with 2:40 to go pulled the Mariners within five
- Clark's bucket at the 2:27 mark gave Wingate a 25-18 advantage
- A Torey James layup with a minute left cut the lead to three
- Clark's bucket with 48 seconds left gave the Bulldogs a 27-22 halftime advantage

SECOND HALF

- Wingate scored the first eight of the second half, getting four points from Massey to take a 35-22 lead
- Buckets from Cottingham and Clark gave the 'Dogs a 15-point lead with 16 minutes to go
- A James triple pulled the Mariners within 10 at the 14:02 mark
- A Nixon three and Wilson layup made it 48-31 with 12 minutes remaining
- A James bucket with 8:58 to go cut the lead to nine
- WU scored the next eight, with Clark and Wilson scoring three points each to make it 58-41
- Coastal Georgia got no closer than seven the rest of the way
