Friday morning results from the 24th annual BMC championship meet

Charlotte, N.C.----Thirteen members of the nationally-ranked Wingate University men's and women's swimming teams qualified for individual championship finals at the 24th annual Bluegrass Mountain Conference championship meet at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center (MCAC) Friday morning. Sophomore Bozo Puhalovic will swim in two individual finals.
 
Puhalovic qualified for the 100 Butterfly (48.72) and the 200 Freestyle (1:38.94). Both times are collegiate personal bests for the second-year Bulldog. The BMC finals start at 5 p.m. tonight.

Event 11
Women's 100 Butterfly
 
Sophomore Martina Hana Kubalova leads three Bulldogs into tonight's final with her prelims time of 57.10. Junior Grace Williams and sophomore Mary Heffron swam identical personal-best times of 57.39 in the morning session, joining Kubalova in the final eight.
 
Event 12
Men's 100 Butterfly
 
Juniors Slava Ohnov (48.21) and Frederik Oscar Moller (48.61) will compete with Puhalovic in the 100 Fly championship finals. Puhalovic joins Ohnov and Moller in the WU career 100 Butterfly top 10. Three Bulldogs will swim in the B final.
 
Event 13
Women's 400 Individual Medley
 
Junior Lily Sanocki swam a personal-best time of 4:27.98 to post the third-best time in the morning session. Senior Anna Miram made the finals as well with her time of 4:31.30.

Event 14
Men's 400 Individual Medley
 
Freshman Miguel Marcos had the second-fastest time in morning prelims, thanks to his personal-best time of 3:55.83. Six Bulldogs will compete in the B final, led by senior James Reindl (3:59.75).
 
Event 15
Women's 200 Freestyle

Senior Kate Agger (1:52.42) and sophomore Amanda Wenhold (1:52.95) both qualified for the 200 Freestyle championship finals. Two Navy Blue and Vegas Gold-clad Bulldogs will compete in Friday night's B final
 
Event 16
Men's 200 Freestyle
 
Junior Marcel Snitko had the second-fastest time in morning prelims, thanks to his 1:37.50 posting. Sophomores Gabriel Da Costa (1:38.90) and Puhalovic both swam collegiate personal-best times to make the championship final. Junior Ethan Hathcock (1:39.42) will compete in the B final.
