Wingate, N.C.----The three-time defending SAC champion Wingate University Bulldogs opened the 2022 season by sweeping past Lees-McRae in NCAA Division II men's tennis action. Wingate starts the season 1-0, while the Bobcats fall to 0-1 on the year.

DOUBLES

- Luka Brown and Edis Nokic rolled to a 6-1 win at one doubles
- Gabriel Constantino teamed with Patrick Arapi for a 6-0 victory at two doubles
- The 'Dogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Brown won 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 at one singles
- Florian Walcher prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at two singles
- Nokic rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at three singles
- Constantino's second win of the day was a 7-5, 7-5 victory at four singles
- Petar Palkovic prevailed 6-4, 6-0 at five singles
- Arapi finished things off with a 6-3, 6-1 win at six singles
