Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs blasted six homers Saturday afternoon in a doubleheader split against visiting Kutztown University in NCAA Division II softball action. The Golden Bears won the opener 10-4, while the 'Dogs cruised to a 10-1 victory in five innings in game two. Wingate moves to 22-11 overall, while Kutztown goes to 13-7 on the season.

- Lampley's RBI single in the bottom of the frame plated Stroud to make it 3-3

SIXTH INNING

- Solo homers from Hannah Auvil and Jenna Lipowski put KU on top 5-3
- Scott connected on a solo homer in the bottom of the frame to make it a one-run game

SEVENTH INNING

- Kutztown scored five times in the seventh
- RBI singles from Lipowski, Brianna Hughes and Donato started the scoring
- A Kristin Geesey two-run single capped the scoring to make it 10-4

WRAPUP

- Amber Brugger got the win, moving to 4-0
- She allowed four runs on eight hits in seven innings, striking out one and walking one
- Kale took the loss, allowing three earned runs on five hits in five innings, striking out five

- Scott then drew a walk in front of McLaurin
- Her second straight homer put the Bulldogs on top 10-1

WRAPUP

- Cutcher got the win, moving to 6-0
- She allowed a run on four hits in five innings, striking out two without a walk
- Brugger took the loss, allowing a run on a hit in less than an inning of work
