Bulldogs roll to 18-7 win over PBA to stay perfect on the season

West Palm Beach, Fla.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Palm Beach Atlantic University 11-2 in the second period Monday, rolling to an 18-7 victory to kick off their Florida trip in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action. The Bulldogs stay perfect in 2022, improving to 5-0 overall, while the Sailfish drop to 1-2 on the season.

FIRST PERIOD

- PBA's Sara Metheny scored an early goal in the second to retake the lead
- Knowles, Ruiz and Pellet scored three goals in 30 seconds to put the 'Dogs ahead 5-3
- The Sailfish cut their deficit to a single goal at the 9:05 mark
- The Bulldogs went on to score the final eight goals of the first half
- Knowles, Wilgeroth and Pellet scored twice in the run

THIRD PERIOD

- Knowles scored from a free position to score the 'Dogs' ninth unanswered goal
