Wingate, N.C.----The second-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs plated 25 runs Saturday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader against UVA Wise in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate won the opener 19-2, while rallying for a 6-5 win in the finale to improve to 31-3 overall and 13-1 in the SAC. The Cavaliers fall to 13-22 overall and 3-12 in league play. Wingate wins its 11th straight, while improving to 19-0 at home this year. The 'Dogs have now had two winning streaks of at least 11 games this year.
