Cleveland, Tenn.----Wingate University distance specialists
Dalton Miles and
Soheil Boufrizi finished second and third, respectively, in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase at the Flames Invitational Saturday. Miles posted a time of 9:15.94, while Boufrizi was next at 9:17.09. Lee University hosted this year's Flames Invitational at the LU Multi-Sport Complex.
Miles and Boufrizi recorded the second and third-fastest times on the Wingate steeplechase career charts. On the team scoring charts, the Wingate women finished sixth out of 30 teams. Host Lee won the women's event. The Bulldog men placed ninth out of 34 teams. Alabama-Huntsville edged Lee by 0.5 points to take the men's crown.

Next on the Horizon
Wingate will compete in the Electric City Invitational Friday and Saturday. Anderson University is hosting the event as a tune-up for the South Atlantic Conference outdoor track and field championships, slated for May.
