Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs capped a 3-0 week by picking up a 3-1 victory over Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-20 and 25-17 to move to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in the SAC. The Wolves fall to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

- Wingate had 50 kills and 17 errors in 140 attacks to hit .236
- Newberry had 45 kills and 22 errors in 138 swings, hitting .167

- Kate Brown's kill put the Wolves back on top by three at 15-12
- Kills from Lambillotte and Kasprak sparked a 4-0 run that put WU on top 16-15
- A Diggs block gave Newberry a 17-16 advantage
- Wingate answered by scoring the next six points to take a 22-17 lead
- Young and Kasprak each had a kill and a block in the spurt; Johnson added an ace

- A Lambillotte kill capped a 4-0 run that put WU on top 5-4
- A Baylor Herlehy block put NC on top 10-8, but a Wilform kill made it 10-9
- Newberry scored the next eight, taking an 18-9 lead on two Samantha Shaffer kills
- A kill and a block from Lambillotte capped a 4-0 WU run that made it 18-13
- A Paige Patrick ace made it 22-14, while a Herlehy kill made it 24-16

THIRD SET
- Kills from Lambillotte and Johnson gave Wingate a 9-6 lead
- A kill and a block from Johnson, followed by a Wilform kill made it 12-7

- A block and a kill from Kasprak gave the 'Dogs a 20-15 advantage
