Wingate moves to 5-1 on the year with a pair of Friday wins

Pembroke, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs kicked off the UNCP Invitational with an impressive 3-0 victory over a previously unbeaten Embry-Riddle team that is just outside the AVCA top 25, while capping day one with a 3-1 victory over East Stroudsburg. Wingate won the opener 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 against the Eagles, while prevailing 25-12, 25-6, 24-26, 25-18 against the Warriors to move to 5-1 on the year.
