New Orleans, La.----The Wingate University men's cross country team is a regular season program-best No. 2 in this week's NCAA Division II U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) coaches' poll. The Bulldogs are tied for second with Grand Valley State. They have been No. 3 in five previous polls this season. The Wingate women's XC team is tied for No. 13 with Colorado Christian, one rung up the ladder from last week's No. 14. The Bulldog squads occupy the No. 1 spot in the Southeast Region top-10 rankings for both women and men.

The South Atlantic Conference cross country championships are Saturday, Oct. 21 in Newton, North Carolina. Lenoir-Rhyne University is hosting the SAC event at the Southside Park.
