Savannah, Ga.----The
Wingate University swimming teams will compete in the 19th annual SCAD Invitational Thursday evening through Saturday. SCAD Savannah hosts this event inside the Chatham County Aquatic Center. Both Bulldog squads enter the SCAD Invite in the CSCAA NCAA Division II top 10. The women are No. 7, while the men are No. 10.
The Bulldogs have enjoyed their time in Savannah. The Wingate women have won 12 SCAD Invite team championships, while the Bulldog men have collected 11 first-place trophies in the annual competition. In 2022, the Wingate, Emory and Lynn filled out the top three women's positions. Wingate, Emory and SCAD Savannah were the top three on the men's side.
After the SCAD Invite, both Bulldog teams will take a break for final examinations Monday through Friday, December 4-8. Wingate returns to competition Friday, January 5, visiting Catawba for a 2 p.m. meet. UNC Pembroke will join in the action to make the women's event a tri-meet.
