Longwood, Fla.----For the second straight day, the Wingate University Bulldogs bounced back after dropping the first game of the day at the Panther Invitational, taking down Rollins 4-3 in eight innings after falling 9-0 against Tampa. Wingate moves to 4-2 on the season.

- The Spartans scored eight times in the fifth
- After back-to-back RBI singles, a Chevalier three-run homer made it 6-0
- Lilly Kiester added a two-run triple later in the frame to make it 9-0

WRAPUP

- Gwen McGinnis got the win, moving to 1-0
- She allowed just one hit in five shutout innings, striking out three
- Scott took the loss, allowing three earned runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings

- The Tars had the only extra-base hit of the day
- Rollins committed the only three errors of the contest

- Ragan Liles drove in a pair of runs for the 'Dogs
- Kaylee Hobgood and Heaven Maness each added a hit and an RBI
- Sydney Kale had two hits and scored two runs
- Bella Kraemer and Katy Kahlich also scored a run apiece for Wingate

- Scott went the final two frames to earn the win

- Kahlich drew a leadoff walk, then went to second on a wild pitch
- She scored on an RBI single from Hobgood to make it 2-0

- A sacrifice fly from Brie Michelli cut the Wingate lead in half

- A sacrifice fly from Ashley Worrell tied it at two

EIGHTH INNING

- An RBI single from Grace Germer gave Rollins a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth
- Wingate had the answer in the bottom of the inning
- Kale was place on second to start the frame, while Reeves drew a walk
- A Maness single loaded the bases
- Liles drove home the tying and winning run when she reached on an error to end it

WRAPUP

- Scott got the win, moving to 1-1 on the year
- She allowed an unearned run on one hit in two innings, striking out two
- Emily MacMullen took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits in 7 1/3 innings, striking out six
