Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University first baseman Hannah Reeves blasted three homers Sunday afternoon, while four other Bulldogs also homered in a season-opening doubleheader sweep over Barton College in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 8-0 in five innings, while prevailing 10-2 in five innings in game two to move to 2-0 on the year. Barton falls to 0-2.

- Kramer connected on a two-run bomb to center to put Wingate on top 7-0
- Reeves ended the game with another solo shot to center

WRAPUP

- Kale got the win, moving to 1-0 on the year
- She allowed just two singles in five innings of work, striking out six without a walk
- Kale threw 51 pitches on the day, 40 of which were strikes
