#18 Wingate moves to 14-0 at home with doubleheader sweep over Converse

Wingate, N.C.----The 18th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs stayed perfect at home Wednesday afternoon, outscoring Converse University 17-1 in a doubleheader sweep in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 9-1, while prevailing 8-0 in game two to improve to 26-7 overall. The Valkyries fall to 9-13 on the season. Wingate is 14-0 at home and has won 22 of its last 25 games overall.
