’Dogs take two at #7 Lenoir-Rhyne

Hickory, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a pair of impressive road wins Saturday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader at Lenoir-Rhyne University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action. Wingate won the opener 9-1, while prevailing 5-3 in game two to improve to 17-9 overall and 7-4 in the SAC. The Bears fall to 22-7 overall and 6-2 in league play.

GAME ONE | WINGATE 9 LENOIR-RHYNE 1

- An infield single and walk put two on for the Bears with one out
- Farris struck out the final two batters of the frame to finish the complete-game win

- Farris moves to 7-0 on the year, allowing a run on three hits in nine innings, striking out 13 and walking two
- After the second inning homer, Farris allowed just two more hits, infield singles in the eighth and ninth
