Wingate, N.C.----The Francis Marion University Patriots scored 10 runs in the top of the ninth inning Wednesday night, prevailing 11-3 at Wingate University in NCAA Division II baseball action. The Patriots improve to 15-19 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 20-12 on the season.

- Two singles and a walk loaded the bases for FMU to start the inning
- Zack Summerville put the Patriots on top with a two-run single
- A bases-loaded walk, sacrifice fly and wild pitch made it 6-2
- RBI singles from Isaac Schuck and Naphis Llanos gave FMU a six-run lead
- A Wingate error allowed the final two runs to score, making it 11-2
- An error and Michael Dansky single in the bottom of the frame put two on for Wingate
- McKay scored on an RBI groundout from Farris to make it 11-3

WRAPUP

- Josh Adams got the win, allowing a run on a hit in two shutout frames
- Cal Riehl took the loss, allowing four runs on three hits
