#7 Mount Olive edges Wingate 3-2

Mount Olive, N.C.----The seventh-ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans scored a pair of goals in the third quarter Wednesday afternoon, prevailing 3-2 against Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference field hockey action. The Trojans improve to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.

- Schrijvers did the damage once again, scoring her fifth goal of the year
- It came off a Derouaux assist to make it 2-2 with 20 minutes left in regulation
- Mount Olive responded three minutes later
- Migounoff scored off a Jinte Steenbeeke assist to give UMO a 3-2 advantage
