Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs made history Tuesday evening, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Coker University in South Atlantic Conference filed hockey action at Graham Gill Field. It is the first home victory in program history and the first-ever shutout for the Bulldogs, who move to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the SAC. The Cobras fall to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER
- Cordrey got the scoring started with 6:48 left in the first, netting her first goal as a Bulldog
- Wingate added to its lead in the final second of the quarter, just beating the buzzer to take a 2-0 lead
- It was Muscillo scoring off a Steyn assist to give the 'Dogs a two-goal cushion
THIRD QUARTER
- Wingate added to its lead in the opening minute of the second half, scoring off Cordrey's corner
- She went to Muscillo, who found Schrijvers in front of the net for her first career goal
- Muscillo struck again five minutes later to stretch the lead to four
- Her second goal of the day came off a Montgomery assist to put WU on top 4-0
FOURTH PERIOD
- Colavita-Jones notched three saves in the final 15 minutes to preserve the shutout
- Cordrey capped the scoring on the day
- Her goal with 4:48 left came off another Muscillo assist, making it 5-0
