Trojans rally for 62-59 victory over Wingate

Anderson, S.C.----The Anderson University Trojans ended the game on a 14-5 run Wednesday night, prevailing 62-59 over visiting Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. The Trojans improve to 12-3 overall and 4-3 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 11-5 overall and 5-2 in league play.

- Two free throws from Breedlove in the final minute cut the lead to 10

SECOND QUARTER

- Wingate held Anderson scoreless the first five minutes of the frame, cutting the lead to three
- Bethel Ekpherigha had three points in the spurt, while a Hege free throw made it 20-17
- Hege buried a triple with 2:13 to go to tie it at 23
- A Nelliah Wilson layup put Anderson back on top by two
- Breedlove's bucket with a minute to go tied it at 25

THIRD QUARTER

- Breedlove's layup put WU on top, but a Wilson layup gave AU a 30-27 advantage
- Wingate scored the next 12 to take a 39-30 lead
- Clark had seven points in the spurt, with a Hege layup capping the run
- A bucket from Wilson pulled the Trojans within five in the final seconds

FOURTH QUARTER

- Two free throws from Anderson put Wingate on top 43-38
