Wingate, N.C.----For the second straight week, the Wingate University defense kept the opposition off the scoreboard, forcing seven turnovers en route to a dominant 50-0 victory against Barton College in South Atlantic Conference football action at Irwin Belk Stadium. Wingate moves to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the SAC, while Barton falls to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in league play. Second time in program history the Bulldogs have had back-to-back shutouts and first time since the 2015 season. Wingate has outscored opponents 83-0 the last two weeks.
