RESULTS | Wingate vs. Barton complete results

Rocky Mount, N.C.----Wingate University sophomore Manoel Silva contributed to a team-best three victories, lifting the Bulldogs to a 122-59 NCAA men's swimming triumph over Barton College inside the Harrison Family YMCA Saturday. Junior Ney Chagas Filho and freshman Vladimir Krstulovic had a hand in two wins each for the two-time defending South Atlantic Conference champions.
 
Silva, Chagas Filho and Krstulovic started their afternoon by teaming with junior Andres Martijena to win the 200 Medley Relay (1:32.47). Silva completed his victory triple crown with wins in the 50 and 100 Freestyle (21.00, 46.04).
 
A College Sports Communicators Academic All-America last year, Chagas Filho touched first in the 100 Back with his triumphant time of 50.70. Krstulovic won the 100 Butterfly, thanks to his time of 50.48. The Navy Blue and Vegas Gold-clad Bulldogs won eight races Saturday.

The Bulldogs return to the Wingate University Natatorium for a two-event South Atlantic Conference home stand, starting with a Friday, October 25 dual meet with Lenoir-Rhyne. On Friday, November 1, Wingate hosts Catawba for another dual meet. Both dual meets start at 5 p.m.
