Robinson and Cordrey lead ‘Dogs to fourth straight win

Belmont, N.C.----Riley Robinson and Rylie Cordrey scored two goals apiece Tuesday afternoon, leading the Wingate University Bulldogs to a 4-1 victory at Belmont Abbey College in NCAA Division II field hockey action. Wingate wins its fourth straight, improve to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the SAC. The Crusaders fall to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in league play.

- Wingate added to its lead in the opening minute of the final frame
- Cordrey scored off Muscillo's assist to put the 'Dogs on top 3-0
- Cordrey struck again less than four minutes later to extend the lead to four
- Fourth goal in two games for the reigning SAC Player of the Week and eighth of the year
- Casey Etter got the Crusders on the board with eight minutes remaining, making it 4-1

- Wingate is back in action Thursday, hosting Lander at 6 p.m.
