Hickory, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Lenoir-Rhyne University 21-3 in the fourth quarter Tuesday afternoon en route to a 68-55 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. Wingate improves to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the SAC, while the Bears fall to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER
- Buckets from Beale and Anderson gave the Bulldogs a 10-6 lead five minutes in
- Shorma's jumper at the 3:44 mark pushed the lead to five
- A jumper and a triple from Baraldi in the final 1:48 put the 'Dogs on top 19-12
SECOND QUARTER
- An Emily Harman three a minute into the second quarter cut the lead to two at 19-17
- Baraldi and Massey answered with buckets to push the lead back to six at the 6:57 mark
- Back-to-back Massey jumpers gave the Bulldogs a 30-21 advantage with 2:47 to go
- Anderson's layup at the 1:32 mark extended the lead to 11
- LR ended the half on a 7-2 run, cutting the lead to six on a Blaikley Crooks three with three seconds left
THIRD QUARTER
- A Vanessa Jurewicz layup with 7:26 to go tied it at 38
- Tilda Lindstrom knocked down a three with five minutes left to give the Bears a 43-40 lead
- An Alexandra Merceron three-point play gave LR a 48-41 advantage with 2:43 to go
- A Massey triple and Anderson jumper cut the lead to two just a minute later
- A Maleiya Hill jumper at the buzzer gave Lenoir-Rhyne a 52-47 lead heading to the fourth
FOURTH QUARTER
- Wingate scored the first 14 points of the final quarter, not allowing LR to score until the 2:02 mark
- Bacon and Oliver started the spurt with buckets in the first three minutes
- Anderson's layup at the 5:48 mark gave Wingate a 53-52 advantage
- Oliver followed with a jumper and three at the 4:25 mark to make it 58-52
- Anderson's layup and Bacon's free throw with 2:21 to go capped the spurt, making it 61-52
- Hill's triple with 2:02 remaining cut the lead to six, but the 'Dogs answered by scoring the final seven points
- A Baraldi jumper and three-point play pushed the lead to 11 at 66-55 with 35 seconds left
- Bacon's layup with 13 seconds remaining made the final margin 68-55
