Quotables

Wingate head cross country coach Pol Domenech:

"The men executed the pre-race plan really well. The idea was to get one last hard effort two weeks out from nationals. We were able to keep our pack together for the whole race, which was really nice. In addition, the top five finished within one second of each other. Now with only two weeks left, we cannot get much better physically, so all the efforts will turn to making these guys ready to execute."

"I would be remiss if I didn't mention the huge Wingate crowd that came down to Spartanburg today. Without them, we are nothing, and I am so thankful to have this crew as part of our family. Regardless of the victories or trophies, what will forever remain in my memory is the sense of community that we have created."
