Rylie Cordrey is first All-American in Wingate field hockey history

Manahawkin, N.J.----Wingate University senior midfielder Rylie Cordrey continues to make history, earning second team All-American accolades from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Cordrey is the first player in Wingate field hockey history to earn All-American accolades.

Cordrey adds this honor to her first team All-SAC selection, while also earning 2024 SAC Offensive Player of the Year accolades. She was also named the NFHCA Senior Team.

Cordrey led the Bulldogs with 11 goals during the 2024 season, while also handing out a team-best six assists to finish the year with 28 points. She piled up 91 shots on the season, while netting three game-winning goals on the year.

Cordrey had a goal and an assist in the season opener at Coker, while also going for a goal and an assist against Limestone. She scored twice in the next contest against Limestone, while also scoring a pair of goals against Belmont Abbey. Cordrey had two more goals against Converse, while also scoring against Coker. She handed out a pair of assists in the SAC Tourney victory against Converse.

Cordrey helped lead Wingate to a historic season. In the third season in the history of the program, the Bulldogs went 13-6 overall, with a 10-4 record in league play. The 'Dogs set program records for victories and league wins, while earning their first-ever bid to the SAC Tournament, while also picking up the first SAC Tourney win in program history.
