Miller and Lingo lead Bulldogs to 93-86 victory over Wasps

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got 42 combined points from Jordan Miller and Jaden Lingo Wednesday afternoon en route to a 93-86 victory over Emory & Henry in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate wins its fourth straight, moving to 4-4 overall and 4-3 in the SAC, while the Wasps fall to 3-8 overall and 1-6 in league play.

KEY STATS

- Wingate shot 53 percent from the field, going 12-for-23 from three-point range (53 percent)
- E&H shot 56 percent from the field, connecting on 10-of-20 from deep (50 percent)

- Wingate countered with a 39-14 run over the next 12 minutes to take a 15-point lead
- A Taylor three-point play and Lingo triple gave the 'Dogs a 52-51 advantage at the 15:09 mark
- Pilson's three with 13:15 to go gave the Wasps a one-point lead
- Buckets from Erbeck and Miller gave the Bulldogs a 61-58 advantage
- A 12-0 run would push the WU advantage to 14
- A Miller three-point play and Foor triple started the spurt; Hall's free throw made it 77-63
- Pack's triple with 5:39 to go gave Wingate its largest lead at 80-65
