Wingate, N.C.----After starting the season with 17 games on the road, the #14 Wingate University Bulldogs played their first home games of the 2024 season Saturday afternoon, sweeping past UNC Pembroke in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 4-3 in 10 innings, while rolling to a 12-0 five-inning victory in game two. The Bulldogs have now won 13 of their last 14, moving to 15-4 overall, while the Braves fall to 6-13 on the year.

- Hobgood was placed on second to start the bottom of the frame, then moved to third on a Sydney Kale sacrifice

- A sacrifice fly from Eckhart put the Braves back on top
- Savanna Brooks started the bottom of the frame at second, then went to third on a passed ball
- An RBI single from Kramer tied it at three

TENTH INNING

- A strikeout ended the UNCP threat in the top of the 10th, stranding a runner on third
- Katy Kahlich moved to third on a Ragan Liles sacrifice
- Hall delivered the walk-off RBI single to give the 'Dogs the win
