Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs plated 20 runs Tuesday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader against Georgian Court University in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 12-1 in five innings, while prevailing 8-7 in game two to improve to 17-4 overall. The Lions fall to 0-4 on the season. The 'Dogs have won 15 of their last 16.

- Wingate answered with seven runs in the bottom of the frame

- Stevens blasted a three-run homer to left center to make it 8-1

- Hali Scott drew a leadoff walk, then moved to second on a Maness bunt single
- A passed ball moved the runners to second and third
- Kahlich ripped the game-winning walk-off RBI single down the left field line, plating pinch-runner Alyssa Hall to give Wingate the win

WRAPUP

- Raechel Cutcher got the win, getting the final out in the top of the seventh
- Cornell took the loss, allowing a run on three hits in two innings
