Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs plated 20 runs Tuesday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader against Georgian Court University in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 12-1 in five innings, while prevailing 8-7 in game two to improve to 17-4 overall. The Lions fall to 0-4 on the season. The 'Dogs have won 15 of their last 16.
