Emory, Va.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got 37 combined points from Emily Hege and Hannah Clark Saturday afternoon en route to an 82-72 victory at Emory & Henry in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action. Wingate improves to 14-7 overall and 9-4 in the SAC, while the Wasps fall to 9-12 overall and 4-9 in league play.

- Wingate shot 45 percent from the field, going eight-for-21 from three-point range (38 percent)
- E&H shot 40 percent from the field, connecting on 13-of-32 from deep (41 percent)

- Grace Glance buried a triple to give E&H a 13-9 lead at the midway point
- A Clark three and Anderson bucket put the 'Dogs on top by one
- Hall put Emory & Henry back on top with a three
- Hege answered with a triple and a layup to make it 19-16
- Chelsi Hodge tied it at 19 with a three, but WU scored the final seven points of the frame

SECOND QUARTER

- Buckets from Beale an Clark pushed the lead to double figures just two minutes in
- Hall's triple at the midway point cut the lead to five at 30-25
- Sullivan answered with a three, while Anderson's layup pushed the advantage back to 10
- A Mimi Traynham free throw at the 3:52 mark made it 35-28
- WU closed the half on an 11-3 run to push the lead to 16
- Hege started the flurry with two free throws, while a Clark three made it 44-28
- Sullivan's layup in the final seconds gave the 'Dogs a 46-31 halftime lead

THIRD QUARTER

- A Glance triple pulled the Wasps back within 10 at the 8:56 mark
- Beale's jumper pushed the lead back to 13, but an Emma Santoro three-point play made it 49-40
- Buckets from Anderson and Beale stretched the lead back to 12 with 4:25 to go

- A Breedlove jumper and two Clark free throws gave WU a 68-54 advantage
- Two free throws from Hodges trimmed the lead to eight with 4:39 to go
- Two Hege free throws and Breedlove jumper made it 76-66
- Spainhour's triple at the 3:13 mark cut the lead back to seven
- Hege and Clark went four-for-four at the line to make it 80-69 with 2:15 remaining
- Emory & Henry got no closer than eight the rest of the way
