Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs completed their third three-game conference sweep of the season Sunday afternoon, prevailing 13-3 over Mars Hill University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 19-10 overall and 11-4 in the SAC, while the Lions fall to 10-20 overall and 3-12 in league play.

- Chad Sikes doubled to start the frame, then scored on a WU error to tie it at two
- Wingate answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning
- A Rhodes double and Harris bunt single put runners on the corner
- Dansky's sacrifice fly plated Rhodes to put the 'Dogs back on top
- Barnett lifted a ball to deep center that was misplayed, plating Harris to make it 4-2
- A wild pitch allowed Adams to score, while a Williams-Rhem sacrifice fly gave WU a four-run lead
SIXTH INNING
- Another hit batter started the inning, while Harris stole second then scored on an Adams RBI single
- A wild pitch allowed Dansky to score, making it 8-2
- Another wild pitch allowed Adams to score, pushing the lead to seven
EIGHTH INNING
- Harris led off the inning with a solo shot to right to make it 10-3
- Walks to Barnett and
Cam Carraway put two on for the pinch-hitter McKay
- He crushed a three-run shot to left, ending the game at 13-3
