Knowles becomes Wingate’s all-time scoring leader as ‘Dogs cruise past Catawba

Wingate, N.C.----The 16th-ranked Wingate University got another five-goal effort from Leah Knowles, as the All-American became the program's all-time leader in career goals, leading the Bulldogs to a 19-6 victory over Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action at Irwin Belk Stadium. Wingate improves to 9-3 overall and 7-0 in the SAC, pushing the SAC winning streak to 24 games. The Indians fall to 2-9 overall and 1-4 in league play.

- Knowles scored the last two goals of the frame off assists from Garvin and Wilgeroth to make it 5-1

SECOND QUARTER

- Knowles scored off a Fuchs assist 90 seconds into the second to push the lead to five
- Sorvillo scored 25 seconds later to make it 6-2
- Magill answered a minute later to extend the lead back to five
- The 'Dogs closed out the half by scoring the final five goals
- Watson started it off Garvin's assist at the 8:58 mark
- Knowles struck off a Caldwell assist 30 seconds later, making it 9-3
