Jefferson City, Tenn.----The #12 Wingate University Bulldogs stayed hot Friday afternoon, sweeping past Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference softball action. Wingate won the opener 10-2, while prevailing 7-2 in game two to improve to 33-6 overall and 11-1 in the SAC. The 'Dogs have now won 13 straight and 21 of their last 22. It is the first time the 'Dogs have swept the Eagles at Carson-Newman since 2000.
