Greeneville, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs had five different players combine to connect on six homers Saturday afternoon, as Wingate split a doubleheader at Tusculum University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action. The Pioneers won the opener 14-8, while the 'Dogs prevailed 10-6 in the finale. Wingate goes to 20-13 overall and 12-6 in the SAC, while Tusculum moves to 20-14 overall and 14-7 in league play.

- A two-run homer from Ben Scartz pushed the Tusculum lead back to four

- Williams-Rhem led off the inning with a double, then scored on a Harris RBI single
- Barnett followed with a two-run shot to make it 8-7
- Jayden Singleton led off the bottom of the frame with a solo shot put TU back on top by two

SIXTH INNING

- Jayden Singleton capped another three-run Pioneer inning with a two-run single, making it 12-7

SEVENTH INNING

- Ishmael led off the inning with a solo shot to right, cutting the lead back to four
- A Zane Keener RBI double in the bottom of the frame made it 13-8

WRAPUP

- Cole Forcellina got the win, allowing a run on four hits in three innings, striking out three
- Josh Dotson took the loss, allowing five earned runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings, striking out two

- An error and passed ball in the bottom of the frame allowed two runs to score, making it 9-4

FIFTH INNING

- A two-run triple from Avery Collins pulled Tusculum with three at 9-6

SIXTH INNING

- Barnett reached on an error, then stole second
- He scored on an Ishmael RBI single to put the 'Dogs on top 10-6

WRAPUP

- Cal Riehl got the win, allowing two runs on three hits in 1 1/3 innings, striking out two
- Brice Anders took the loss, allowing six runs on four hits in 3 1/3 innings
