Wingate, N.C.----The 11th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a pair of wins Friday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader against Lee University in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate won the opener 11-2 in five innings, while prevailing 2-1 in game two to improve to 23-6 overall. The Flames fall to 9-8 on the season.
