Charlotte, N.C.----The fourth-ranked University of Tampa Spartans outscored #6 Wingate University 6-3 in the fourth period Saturday afternoon, then got the game-winner in double overtime to pick up an 11-10 victory at the Crown Classic in NCAA Division II men's lacrosse action. The Spartans move to 5-1 on the season, while Wingate falls to 4-2 overall. Both of Wingate's losses this season have come by one goal.

- Riley assisted Moran's goal 39 seconds later to make it 4-1
- Grant scored off a Grieco assist at the midway point of the frame to put WU on top by four
- Canyon Birch scored with 3:31 to go, making it 5-2 heading to halftime

THIRD PERIOD

- Nick Papa scored at the 12:21 mark to make it a two-goal game
- Grieco scored two minutes later to stretch the lead back to three
- Clark scored off Riley's assist with 9:09 to go, making it 7-3
- Birch cut the lead to three with his goal at the 1:27 mark

FOURTH PERIOD

- Grant scored off Riley's assist three minutes in to give Wingate an 8-4 advantage
- The Spartans scored the next four goals, with three coming in a 95-second span
- Birch capped the spurt with seven minutes left to tie it at eight
- Grant scored off Grieco's assist with 5:14 remaining to put the 'Dogs back on top
- Jackson Bashaw tied it at nine with his goal just 21 seconds later
- Moran put the Bulldogs back on top, scoring off Riley's assist with 2:15 remaining
- Birch netted the equalizer with 1:14 to go, sending it to overtime

SECOND OVERTIME

- After neither team scored in the first overtime, Tampa forced a WU turnover early in the second
- Birch scored the game-winning goal with 2:51 remaining in the frame to end it
