Wingate, N.C.----The 10th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs split a doubleheader against Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference softball action Monday afternoon. Wingate won the opener 6-3, while the Trojans prevailed 8-2 in game two. The Bulldogs go to 42-7 overall and 20-2 in the SAC, while the Trojans move to 28-14 overall and 17-3 in league play.

- Liles blasted a solo shot in the bottom of the frame to put the 'Dogs back on top

- Anderson had runners on second and third, threatening to regain the lead
- Kale came in and got the strikeout to end the threat
- Kale ripped a two-out single in the bottom of the frame
- Brooks connected on a two-run shot to right center, making it 6-3
- Her third straight game with two homers

WRAPUP

- Cutcher got the win, moving to 16-1 on the year
- She allowed two earned runs on four hits in five innings, striking out five
- Kale struck out one in 1 1/3 innings to notch her second save of the year
- Laken Maxwell took the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits in six innings of work
