Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs split a doubleheader against Carson-Newman University Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. The 'Dogs won the opener 10-8 to claim the weekend series, while the Eagles prevailed 2-1 in game two. Wingate goes to 27-18 overall and 18-9 in the SAC, while the Eagles move to 23-20 overall and 16-11 in league play.
