#21 Catawba takes two from Bulldogs Saturday

Salisbury, N.C.----The Catawba College Indians swept a doubleheader over visiting Wingate University Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference baseball action. The Indians won the opener 11-5, while rallying for a 7-6 victory in game two to improve to 37-12 overall and 24-6 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 27-21 overall and 18-12 in league play.

- The Indians had four of the six extra-base hits and two of the three homers

- An error allowed Barnett to score, making it 8-2

EIGHTH INNING

- A walk and Barnett single put two on for the 'Dogs
- Adams crushed a three-run shot to right to make it an 8-5 game
- A Bulldog error in the bottom of the frame allowed two runs to score
- Bo Rusher added an RBI single to make it 11-5

WRAPUP

- Payne Stolsworth got the win, allowing four runs on four hits in 7 2/3 innings, striking out five
